KC9RUB is my new call. In 1965 I was WN9TOF. This video shows the progress I have been making on my new ham radio nook and electronics work bench. To be sure, I did not do all this work alone. I hired a contractor to fill in the garage door opening and a good friend has taken time from his own projects to come up from where he lives to help me with the organ and also the building. I designed and built the ham radio corner nook and it might look somewhat good in the video but in my own opinion, a Skill saw in my hand is an oxymoron. I plan to put an LED rope light under the lip of the top L shaped shelf and brighter puck lights above the work bench area. There is a ground rod going in outside the room and I will have a copper ground buss under the radio desk. I have hopes to eventually put up a modest tower with a 2 meter and 6 meter beam antenna on top plus pulleys to hoist up dipole antennas for HF. I got the pulley idea from one of AmericanFiveRadios videos.
