EEVblog #114 – Electronex 2010 Electronics Exhibition

A few snippets of the Electronex 2010 Electronics Trade show in Sydney Australia. I wanted to shoot a lot more stuff, but ended up spending all my time yapping to people instead! Includes a sneak peak at the new Rigol 6000 series 6104 Oscilloscope and the new touch screen Lecroy scope.

Kör Echolink i din mobiltelefon

Zenith Model 6-S-229 vintage radio

This radio belonged to my grandfather. It is a Zenith Model 6-S-229 (6S229). Considering both the age and the use it is in pretty good shape. Unfortunately the original 5Y4G rectifier valve (tube) was replaced by a silicon rectifier, and a couple of other tubes were replaced too. PS: I don’t know much about the history of this radio. Also, I didn’t made the repairs, and therefore I know nothing about what kind of repairs this radio suffered.
